According to the new decision, all people over the age of 13 must prove that they have a complete vaccination plan against the Corona virus to enter dance venues, party rooms or the like that occur indoors.

They will also have to prove that they have received the vaccination if they wish to participate in group trips or multi-denominational events with more than 1,000 people, both at home and abroad, according to advance information from local newspapers Clarín, La Nación and Página / 12.

The mandatory health passport has already been adopted by the provincial governments of Buenos Aires, Tucuman and Salta, but the measure will now be extended to the entire country.

With a population of 45 million, Argentina has seen a slight but sustained increase in cases in recent weeks, although new infections remain low compared to last June’s peak.

On that occasion, the country recorded more than 30,000 new cases and 790 deaths in a single day.

Last week, there were an average of 2,500 infections and 16 deaths per day, according to an AFP balance based on official data, after it recorded less than 1,000 new cases per day in October.

Since the beginning of the pandemic, Argentina has recorded more than 5.35 million cases and 116,771 deaths due to COVID-19.

More than 31 million people have already taken two doses of the vaccine, while another six million have received the first dose but have not yet completed their vaccination schedule.
