The 2022 Ford Mustang Mach 1 debuted in Brazil for 533,180 BRL

The best-selling sports car in the world in the past seven years, and one of the favorites in this class in Brazil, stronghold Mustang Mach 1 hits the 2022 line here. While the new generation is already leaking on the grilles, the sports car with a V8 engine gets five new colors for the Brazilian market and nothing more than a new one.

The Ford Mustang is only sold in Mach 1 version at R$533.180, and now has Fuji Green, Delhi Orange, Catalonia Gray, Estoril Blue and Zolder Purple colors. In purple, green, orange, and blue colors, the bands are black shaded by white. In gray, the bands are highlighted in red, but they are still black.

Otherwise, nothing different. The Mustang follows the Mach 1 with its powerful V8 Coyote 5.0 engine that pulls 483 hp and 56 Nm of torque sent directly to the rear wheels. Power is managed by a ten-speed automatic transmission, the same used by Chevrolet Camaro and many Ford and Chevrolet trucks.

It is worth noting that the Ford Mustang was the best-selling sports car in the world, with the United States accounting for 76% of global sales. It is the seventh year in a row that he has won this title and Brazil has been one of the fastest growing markets. According to Ford, more than 2,300 Mustangs have been sold in Brazil since their official launch in 2018.

As proof of its success, 486 units were sold in 2021, giving it the title of the second best-selling sports car in the country. It is second only to the Porsche 911, which registered 878 units last year, according to data provided by Finabrav.
