The platform increases the number of members in a WhatsApp group

This week, WhatsApp started releasing a new update for its beta version meant for testing on the platform. The goal of the company is to increase the number of potential participants in the group. Currently, WhatsApp groups have 256 members, but this reality may differ in some time. The new ‘Big Groups’ have up to 512 participants.

The information was revealed by the website that specializes in “spoilers” for WhatsApp, WABetaInfo. All beta users should receive the news to test their apps. This step aims to make sure that no errors are displayed for Android and iOS (iPhone) operating systems.

The new WhatsApp groups have not arrived in Brazil

An interesting, but frustrating, thing is that WhatsApp groups with more participants are not yet available in Brazil. It should be noted that the company has not revealed official information about this system update, in the same way that it is not known until after the feature becomes active for Brazilians.

WhatsApp has already informed that it will make changes to the platform for the Brazilian public only after the 2022 elections. In other words, you cannot expect big changes this year in the application that you have installed on your cell phone.

In fact, the novelty is still in the testing phase and should remain that way for a long time to come. There is no official release date for a wide audience anywhere in the world.
