The Dorados Health Service (FUNSAUD), which runs the hospital that treated Andressa de Sousa, 20, who died as a result of a generalized infection, this Tuesday (12), issued an official memo stating that it is impossible to link the death of the young woman to the status of the hole. And Andressa died on Saturday (9), in Dorados (MS). The foundation says the diagnosis of death was a generalized infection that reached the brain. The young woman’s mother, Maria Aparecida, 47, commented that days before her first symptoms appeared, Andressa complained of a lot of headaches and drowsiness.

The family came to suspect that she had dengue fever. Many people have contracted dengue fever at home. My daughter had a headache and a fever. The doctor treated Andressa and I left, ”described the mother in detail.

On the second trip to the hospital, which was still in Itapura (MS), where she was living, Andressa was transferred to a hospital in Dorados, only 16.8 km from the first municipality. According to the foundation’s memo, she was admitted on June 15 with a history of seizures and a suspected severe neurological impairment.

However, the hospital’s official memo claims that it is impossible to make this connection. “It cannot be said that the progression of the patient’s clinical condition up to her death indicates the placement of the perforation,” details the statement released Tuesday.
