Activists from animal rights groups vandalized this Tuesday Official portrait of King Charles III, exhibited at a gallery in central London. In a gesture of protest against dairy farming, the group Animal Rising covered the king’s head with an image of the British cartoon character from the comedy series “Wallace and Gromit”. A poster with a speech bubble was also pasted on the board with the following caption: “No cheese, Gromit. Check out this cruelty at RSCPA farms.
The move helped draw attention to a new report released on Sunday by the vegan panel, which investigated 45 farms certified by the Royal Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (RSPCA). This quality mark indicates that the animals are said to be from protected farms More space to live and not caged. Meat, fish and dairy products produced by these farms are marked with the RSCPA logo.
Animal Rising says this is not true and says there is “gross animal cruelty” at all farms visited. On Tuesday, the group posted a video on its social networks showing two activists using a paint roller to paste the image and a speech bubble on the King’s portrait.
