The multi-vaccination campaign began last Friday (1), and will continue until the 21st in Vera de Santana, with the implementation of vaccinations against hepatitis, measles, whooping cough, meningitis, yellow fever, diphtheria and tetanus for children under 15 (14 years and 11 months). and 29 days). Immunization can be carried out in municipal health units from Monday to Friday.

To receive a vaccination, it is necessary to present an identity document, a SUS card and a vaccination booklet – the absence of these documents does not prevent vaccination. Please note that children and adolescents must be accompanied by a responsible adult.

Parents or guardians are responsible for keeping children and adolescents’ immunization books up to date. As a strategy to enhance access to vaccination for those who cannot take children during the week, the Municipal Health Department will organize a D-day for mobilization on the upcoming 16th. There will be 103 health units operating on Saturday, from 8 a.m. to 5 a.m., in both urban and rural areas.

This measure aims to provide access to vaccines, update vaccination status, increase vaccine coverage, and reduce the incidence of vaccine-preventable diseases.

“This contributes to the control, elimination and eradication of these diseases,” highlights Propria Network Management Division Director, Joanna Queiroz.

The Ministry of Health (MS) highlights the need to vaccinate as many children and adolescents as possible, and to adopt all the preventive measures that have been widely announced against Covid-19, to reduce the risks of transmission of the disease between health workers and the population.
