A nursing technician who worked in the Public Health Service died on Friday (22/10), as a result of his injury COVID-19. The death of Igor Marcelo Miranda dos Santos (featured image) Confirmed this Saturday (23) by Department of Health (SES), in a note of regret.
According to the folder, the server was 41 years old and was battling thyroid cancer when he contracted the disease caused by the novel coronavirus. Igor Marcelo worked in the Ambulatory Emergency Care Service (Samu).
The technician also worked in the Neurosurgery Unit at Hospital de Besse and the organizational complex in the Federal District. “The secretariat appreciates the work and dedication of Igor, who spent the whole of 2020 at the forefront of the fight against the epidemic in the Federal District,” SES said.
The Secretariat also offered its condolences to Igor’s family, colleagues and friends.

“The Federal District Health Department regrets, with regret, the death of nursing technician Igor Marcelo Miranda dos Santos, which occurred on Friday (22), at the age of 41.
Igor was a civilian employee of the Mobile Emergency Service (Samu) and also worked in the neurosurgery unit of the Hospital de Pace and the organizational complex of the Federal District. The technician was battling thyroid cancer and ended up contracting Covid-19 during treatment.
The Secretariat appreciates the work and dedication of Igor, who spent the whole of 2020 at the forefront of the fight against the epidemic in the Federal District.
