Fabio is without a doubt one of the greatest players in Cruzeiro history. This is evidenced by the numbers (he is the player with the most matches for the club: 976), titles (13 matches total) and leadership. But also for the affection of the masses. After the match against Náutico, it took the player two hours to leave Mineirao. He even parked his car on the street to meet fans.
The goalkeeper was one of the last keepers to appear at the exit as players usually pick up their cars and leave the field. He ran a marathon of photos, taped letters and autographs. Children and adults are looking for a moment with the player.

Until then, a normal routine for Fábio at Mineirão matches. It is true that the novel coronavirus pandemic remains, and gatherings in Mineiro and people without masks still have to be avoided.
However, Fabio has outgrown the routine he used to do. When he left Mineirao with his wife and children in a black 5.0 Mustang, he was stopped by more than two dozen fans who shouted the goalkeeper’s name and told him to get out of the car.
Fabio had already attended dozens of others in Mineirao. But he responded to the fan’s request. He left one of the Mineirao entrance doors and parked his car on Avenida Abrahu Kram, one of the roads to the stadium.

He got down and then ran another marathon of photos and videos, in great crowds. There were about 10 minutes of joy for the fans who were looking for a record with the goalkeeper.
Having met almost all the fans, the goalkeeper left the field, returning to the car he was driving. It was the last show of emotion from Cruzeiro fans on a special day in the club’s history.
