US President Joe Biden has been criticized by Amazon owner Jeff Bezos for issuing an order pressuring gas station companies to cut prices “immediately”. In his comment, Bezos accused the president of “confusion” or “deep misunderstanding” regarding the reasons behind the fuel surge.
Biden’s speech on Saturday(2) came on his Twitter: “This is a time of war and global danger. Lower the price you’re charging at the pump to reflect the cost you’re paying for the product. And do it now.”
On the same day, the owner of Amazon responded on the social network. Inflation is a very important issue for the White House to continue to make statements like this. It’s either a direct misdirection or a profound misunderstanding of fundamental market dynamics,” he posted.
ouch. Inflation is a very important problem for the White House to keep making statements like this. Either it’s a direct misdirection or a deep misunderstanding of fundamental market dynamics. https://t.co/XgKfEICZpk
