The S&P 500 ended Thursday (11) down -0.88%, while the Nasdaq shrank -1.95%. The Dow Jones +0.08% posted a slight increase. Nasdaq is the only one in negative territory this morning.

This Friday morning (12), Bitcoin is trading at US$56,920, down -2.40%. Over the past 30 days, the largest crypto in the market has suffered losses of -16%. Other altcoins are trading mixed today as Ethereum (ETH) falls.

“Yesterday’s negative CPI caused a strong sell-off in the S&P 500, which could trigger more lows next week. If the correlation continues, this could lead to further declines in BTC, which could reach USD 54,000,” said Fernando Pereira, an analyst at Bidget.

Token dumps by the German government, which sold $900 million in BTC in recent days, and hacked exchange Mt.Gox, which began the process of withdrawing $8 billion in BTC, continue to put pressure on the sector.

However, the situation in US spot ETFs (index funds) is positive. Financial products recorded net inflows yesterday for the fifth day in a row, according to data from SoSoValue platform.
