Black Legend: Wukong – the upcoming beautiful Soulslike game based on Journey to the West – is now in development on Unreal Engine 5, with support from Epic Games and Nvidia. The result of this change can be seen in a new trailer for the game.
After Black Myth: Wukong was announced and offered as Unreal Engine 4, Game Science switched to Unreal Engine 5 this year. Both Epic Games and Nvidia provide support with this switch, and the game will support 4K resolution, 60 frames per second, raytracing and Nvidia DLSS at launch.
See the fruits of these updates in a new 12-minute trailer for the game below, which was released to celebrate the game’s unveiling anniversary.

The first trailer for Black Myth: Wukong was incredibly popular, garnering tens of millions of views in the early days of its release. But Game Science has declined to reveal more since then, providing few details the following year. The new trailer offers a lot more than we’ve seen before, introducing new abilities, visuals, bosses, and story guides.
We still don’t know the release date or what platforms the game is targeting outside of PC, but since the reveal it’s possible to reveal more of the story behind this amazing RPG, and we’ve seen a shorter trailer to celebrate the Chinese New Year game that features bosses, spells, and more.
But then, what are your expectations for this beautiful game?
