Chamber votes on a project that forces Campinas to reveal the list of doctors on duty at SUS | Campinas and the region

The City Council of Campinas (SP) is holding on Monday (16), starting at 6 pm, the fifth regular meeting face to face in 2021 with seven projects that will be analyzed on the agenda. Among them is the proposal requiring the city to disclose the list of physicians responsible for service in health facilities as well as the list of scheduled care professionals.

According to the author of Bill 76/2021, the idea is to ensure dignity and respect for patients who seek medical care in the municipality of SUS, while providing “transparency and security” for those concerned.

For the proposal, which will be analyzed in the first vote, the city of Campinas must publish the information in health facilities and also make it available on the official website.

Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, general attendance at the plenary is still limited to 35% of capacity (75 people). The entrance respects the order of access, it is required to wear a mask and adopt all security protocols.

The agenda for this second project has another one under analysis in the first vote that makes the use of audio warnings mandatory for people with visual impairments at bank branches in the city.

The proposal also states that banks, if approved, install at least one self-service ATM with keys written in Braille for reading and sound, with a headset adapted to serve people with disabilities.
