OnePlus 9 Pro brings a better camera, screen and sound, but the performance of… | Analysis / review

OnePlus 9 Pro Between us! The famous Chinese brand responsible for creating the flagship killer logo has arrived with a new proof at the top of the line in 2021. This time, it’s partnered with Swedish camera brand Hasselblad to correct the line’s biggest weakness: photographic performance.

The new Chinese flagship did not change its front design, but the camera block was reshaped by increasing its size and repositioning. The 120Hz screen features LTPO technology to slow down up to 10Hz on still content and delivers strong brightness with vibrant colors. Stereo sound has good power and a balanced sound.

The performance let us down, even though the new one comes with a Snapdragon 888 platform and up to 12GB of RAM. It was slower in multitasking than its predecessor and was less than Galaxy S21 Ultra With the Exynos 2100. OnePlus used to be the benchmark in speed, but that seems to have changed over time.

The battery was about the same size as before, but ended up with lower results in our benchmark test. What only reinforces is that there has been a lack of better optimization of the program. At least the recharging time is reduced thanks to the new 65W charger. The OnePlus 9 Pro has also received improvements in wireless charging, which now comes to 50W.

And what about the cameras? Has the partnership with Hasselblad really made a difference? Let’s say yes. The overall quality is still not at the level of competitors from Samsung and Apple, but it shows a huge jump over previous OnePlus models, especially when shooting at night.

Is OnePlus 9 Pro worth buying? Your problem is the high price. It came in for nearly $1,000 in the base version, and the version we tested with 12GB of RAM goes well beyond that. It’s a nice cell phone, but it probably can’t be imported. To check all the details of our review, simply access the link below.
