Prince Harry is starting to miss his life in London. According to many royal commentators, the Duke of Sussex is focused on finding a property in England, particularly as a base to meet his college friends.
Missing London
Harry and Markle previously lived at Frogmore Cottage in the grounds of Windsor Castle, and stayed there every time they visited England until King Charles kicked them out of the royal home in early 2023. Harry is said to have had difficulty convincing his old friends to meet him in California, USA. “He misses his friends from his time at Eton [escola] And in the military, a lot of them weren’t looking for Meghan because they weren’t used to it,” royal expert Tom Quinn told British news site The Queen.
In an interview with The Mirror newspaper, Quinn said Prince Harry was shocked by the move from Frogmore Cottage, adding that Harry was determined to find another official residence in the United Kingdom. According to the expert, “Harry is determined to find his own permanent home in the UK and one of the reasons he is continuing the legal process is to have the British taxpayer cover his defense costs.”
Desire to return home
Last Saturday (15), Trooping the Color 2024, a parade by British Army regiments and Commonwealth forces, took place in London. Harry, who has completed two tours of duty in Afghanistan, will not attend the ceremony as he is stepping down from royal duties as announced in 2020.

According to American commentator Kinsey Schofield, Fox News reports that Harry wants to live in the United Kingdom again. Schofield said the prince was open about his feelings: “I’m sure Harry will miss the house and we understand that he tends to be open about his emotions.” The commentator also stressed that Harry would not make serious or financial decisions without first addressing his safety concerns.
Harry and Meghan Markle, 42, moved to America in 2020 with their children Prince Archie, 4, and Princess Lilibet, 2. The change comes after the duo stepped down from their British royal roles amid disagreements with the family.
