Eric was born in a normal delivery at 2:32 p.m. Diego, on the other hand, had difficulties with the umbilical cord during childbirth, required a cesarean, and was born at 3 p.m.

“They were expected to be born at 32 to 34 weeks, but it happened at 27 weeks and 3 days. I passed two emotions from the normal delivery of Eric, who was born weighing 690 grams. They are in NICU, but they are fine, ”explains the mother.

Amanda says she was admitted to the hospital on Dec. 13 when one of the baby’s bags broke. There was an expectation that the pregnancy could be kept for a long time, but the delivery had to be brought forward. She is recovering in a room and should be released soon.

“My babies will be in the hospital between March 19 and 23. Here (in the US) they only release very young babies, in their case, when they reach 40 weeks. They need to gain weight. Expectations are high, but I’m optimistic,” says the administrator.

The baby names were chosen by the couple a few months ago. Eric went for the simplicity of the name. Diego pays tribute to Amanda’s only brother who died in an accident. He has another sister, who is moving to the United States. His mother, Marley Alto, will be with him for at least a year.

The family prepares to move house

Since the babies were expected to be born in late February or March, Amanda and Rafael decided to move into a larger house and planned to move to the 31st.

“Now we’re going to trust the help of our friends who are going to make our move. Once the kids are discharged, they will move into their new home. I’m still going to get everything organized and finished,” Amanda explains.

Amanda’s husband says she cried a lot after the babies were born. “He’s sick.” He returns to work, where he will serve as an executive at a company that manufactures signboards on January 3rd.

For Amanda, her rare pregnancy is an example of regression. This came naturally, after a series of miscarriages. “We found out when I was four months and 40 years old. I tell other women who are struggling to give up the dream of being a mother. When you at least expect it, it happens,” she says.

Rare disease pregnancy

Kepisaba said she had undergone ten abortions from 2009 to 2021. What she and her husband did not expect was that the 11th pregnancy would work. “To our surprise, two people came. We were not expecting even one, because whenever we were going to do the ultrasound, the heart was not already beating,” he said.

After a series of miscarriages that worried the couple, they discovered what was just happening in the United States and Amanda’s diagnosis: bicornuate uterus.

“During this defect, the uterus melts and forms two horns. This is called a heart shape. For couples who have had more than two miscarriages, it is important to follow the cause,” he added.

After Kapiksaba became pregnant, her husband underwent a vasectomy

In the report, Amanda said she and her husband had already terminated the pregnancy because her husband had already planned a vasectomy surgery when they discovered the new pregnancy. “We were surprised at the time of the ultrasound and we were already sure about another abortion,” she said.

She explained that her husband did not come with her in counseling because he did not know how to deal with the losses properly. “It was always hard for him. We listened to his heart, he said: ‘Ah, the heart is still beating’. And the doctor: ‘No, there are two hearts. Then my husband was shocked”, he concluded. capixaba.

“We are happy to share this story because with so many women who have had miscarriages, the world does not know what an abortion is, it is better for people to look without giving up. A diagnosis to fulfill their dream of becoming a mother “

After 10 abortions, Esprito Santo, who lives in the United States, discovered she was pregnant with twins.
