Santa Cruz announced, on Sunday night (8), via social media, the dismissal of coach Liston Jr. He left the club’s leadership even after beating Atlético-BA, 3 to 2, in favor of Seri de and played only 14 matches, with six wins, four draws and four other defeats.
Santa Cruz reports that coach Liston Jr and chief football officer Marcelo Segurado are no longer part of the choir club. We value the services provided by the professionals and wish them success in their careers,” Santa wrote on his social media.
Interestingly, Liston Jr. ended up being fired hours after he administered a collective statement, along with the cast and coaching staff, exposing unpaid wages and poor working conditions at one of Pernambuco’s more traditional clubs.
“They play to survive, because we live in a capitalist world. What prompted us to do it here, in addition to many problems, is because of working conditions, the club was abandoned. I see it daily. I live in the cowardly environment which is football.. We are under attack every day. According to the result of the match.
