Donna Lourdes, the gorgeous character of Regina Cassie in Amor de Mãe (2019), stopped by wet land. Well, at least during Globo’s current 9 AM TV series opera commercial hiatus. The mother was the star of an advertisement for a bank, and it was not the actress, but the character herself. The ad left viewers longing. “I miss you,” said a netizen named Denise.

In the plot of Manuela Dias, the housewife was a hardworking woman who did everything to find her son Domenico (Chai Suede), something that only happened at the end of the series. On this journey, she has faced many challenges and has seen her other children go through many difficulties.

Amor de Mãe was special: it had to be split into two phases, since the start of the Covid-19 pandemic, in 2020, forced Globo to boycott recordings. The series resumed in March 2021.

The character’s return in the commercial left viewers emotional and homesick for her story. “I cried because I missed Dona Lourdes,” a netizen named Iori melted.
