Junior Segano’s debut at Eagle Club ended unexpectedly. He faced Brazilian Jurgen de Castro in the main event of the event, which was held in Miami on Friday, and ended up injured and lost in the show organized by Khabib Nurmagomedov. In the co-main event, another anti-climax event: Thiago Silva unleashed an illegal blow on Hector Lombard and the dispute ended without result (no contest).

Gypsies are hurt and defeated

Coming from four straight losses and a year and a half of play, Cigano was called up to make the main event for Eagle FC 47 against a UFC veteran, Cape Verdean fighter, Yorgan de Castro.

The first round was on his feet, as Cigano invested heavily in kicks, while his opponent took more risks in boxing, surprising the Brazilian. Round two went evenly, but Cigano’s gas was better and took the chance in the final minutes, still standing. Early in the third round, the Brazilian ended up dislocating his shoulder when he threw a punch at his opponent. He instantly felt injured, was unbearably forbidden to continue in the competition, and was defeated by the medical interruption.

De Castro celebrated the win a lot and warned the organizers that he wanted to take on Fedor Emelianenko.

The illegal coup ends the penultimate fighting of the night

In the co-main event, another unexpected ending, this time in the duel between veterans Thiago Silva and Hector Lombard. The Cuban fighter started it all, and almost defined the fight in the first few minutes. Thiago resisted the opponent’s attack and recovered in the conflict.

In the second round, the Brazilian hit his opponent, but soon after, he fell at an illegal knee on Lombard, who could not continue the fight and the conflict ended. The referee interpreted the blow as unintentional and declared the match not to be a competition.

Ronnie Marks and Paulo Bello save Brazil night

Four other Brazilians participated in the event. Ronnie Marks put in a great performance against Reggie Pena, always showing off his effective playing on the ground. The feud ended in the second round, when Pena injured the knee and was unable to continue the fight.

Paulo Bello faced Sean Soriano, and after being disqualified in the first round, he managed to turn around and excel in the following rounds, taking the win by split decision.

Gabriel Chico lost to Andrew Sanchez by unanimous decision, while Alexander Capitao lost by the same score in a duel against Roosevelt Roberts.
