Sergej participates in the 6th meeting of the Brazilians at FGV Energia in America
This Sunday, the 5th, representatives of the state government attended the 6th edition of the Meeting of Brazilians promoted by the Energy Research Center at the Fundação Getúlio Vargas (FGV Energia) in Houston, Texas. In America (USA). The traditional gathering precedes the annual Offshore Technology Conference – OTC, which aims to bring together key leaders and personalities from the world’s oil and gas (O&G) industry. The head of the State Secretariat for Economic Development and Science and Technology (Sedetec), Valmor Barbosa, leads the delegation and represents Governor Fábio Mitidieri during the trip.
The meeting is part of Sergej’s agenda in the North American country and aims to establish contacts between Brazilians participating in the OTC. “The meeting of Brazilians is a preparation for the OTC, where representatives of sector companies and state governments participate in a unified and fraternal moment”, highlighted the secretary of Sedetec. “This is a very important moment where we were able to make positive contacts for the state and join the heads of other states and actors in the oil and gas sector,” said Ronaldo, president of the Sergej Economic Development Institute (CODICE). Besides Sedetec’s secretary and Codise’s president, Sergipe’s delegation to the United States includes Sedetec’s executive secretary Marcelo Menez; CEO of Sergipe Gás (Sergas), Jose Matos; and Chairman of Sergej Public Services Regulatory Agency (Agrese), Luiz Hamilton. At the event, the team from Serkip was accompanied by Carlos Quintella, director of FGV Energia, and Roberto Artengi, director-president of the Brazilian Petroleum Company (IBP).
OTC 2024
From May 6 to 9, representatives of the Government of Sergipe will participate in OTC 2024, the largest world exhibition for the international oil and gas market. Held in Houston, the event brings together energy professionals interested in exchanging information to advance scientific and technical knowledge of marine resources.
