Steelers From the 2021 Roster Still Unsigned for Next Season

Steelers From the 2021 Roster Still Unsigned for Next Season

As the summer of the 2022 NFL offseason approaches, the NFL predictions are also getting better and commonly the free agency becomes less significant. The conclusion of rookie minicamps marks the beginning of organized team activities.

They prepare their rosters for the NFL draft and undrafted free agents. Consequently, there is much less coverage of free agents signing with teams.

Several Pittsburgh Steelers from the 2021 season remain without a 2022 team. Is their return to Pittsburgh during the current season still possible? Will they find an appropriate landing site within the next six months? Will one of them decide to leave the NFL? How will this affect your BET US wagers? There are so many questions!

Here are the Steelers 2021 roster’s primary unsigned free agents.

Joe Schobert

Joe Schobert was traded to the Steelers during the 2021 preseason. This was his fifth consecutive season in the NFL with over 100 tackles

Schobert was selected to the Pro Bowl for the Cleveland Browns in 2017. He played for the Jacksonville Jaguars for one season before being traded to the Pittsburgh Steelers for a sixth-round draft pick.

The Steelers no longer need Schobert in 2022 after signing Myles Jack, a former Jacksonville Jaguars linebacker, to replace him. Since he was fired in March, no one has heard that Schobert will join another unit in 2022 while he looks for work.

Eric Ebron

After spending four seasons in Detroit and two in Indianapolis, Eric Ebron spent Pittsburgh’s 2020 and 2021 seasons. Even though Ebron was selected to the Pro Bowl in 2018 after catching 13 touchdown passes, he scored only six touchdowns in two seasons with the Steelers.

Ebron played in 23 games for Pittsburgh and caught 68 passes for 648 yards on 109 targets. In 2021, Ebron rushed for one yard and scored a touchdown.

Unfortunately, Ebron played his last game with the Steelers, and possibly ever, when he was injured while attempting to catch the lone touchdown pass of the Chargers’ season. No one is currently aware of the 29-year-NFL old’s employment status.

B.J. Finney

After playing for Seattle and Cincinnati for a season, B.J. Finney returned to the Steelers in 2021, but he was not as successful as in the past.

Finney had a lucrative contract with Seattle in 2020, but he did not play offensively. Cincinnati dealt with him in the middle of the season to clear his salary from the books.

Finney returned to Pittsburgh in 2021 and started two games at guard before suffering a neck injury. It’s too soon to tell whether his injury will prevent him from playing in the NFL, but he’s still looking for a team.

Zach Banner

Men cannot seem to catch a break sometimes. There are numerous positive aspects to Zach Banner and his behavior. Banner, a big tight end who was “reported as eligible” in 2019, was beloved by fans.

He was awarded the starting proper tackle position for the 2020 season, but an injury ended his season before it began. After suffering another injury, a banner was placed back on IR at the beginning of 2021. He never recovered sufficiently to be used as a starter.

A banner was released at the beginning of the new season, and he has yet to find a new team to play for. Even if he plays in a city other than Pittsburgh, be sure that many Steelers fans will continue to support him.

Kalen Ballage

When Kalen Ballage becomes a free agent in 2021, he will sign with the Steelers. He has played for four different teams throughout his first four NFL seasons.

Ballage participated in every game played by the Steelers last season, but he did not start. During the regular season, he ran only 12 times for 36 yards, and in the playoffs, he ran four times for 13 yards.

Ballage caught two passes for eight yards on seven targets. Even though Ballage played on offense only 65 times during the regular season, he played 98 times on special teams.

It remains unclear whether Ballage’s performance with the Steelers was sufficient for another team to acquire him. Even if an injury occurs somewhere in training camp, his chances of being called up by Pittsburgh are diminishing.

Haden, Joe

Several Steelers fans would like to see Joe Haden finish his career in black and gold. This inclusion may improve the odds at BET US to their advantage. Haden completed his career in Pittsburgh for five years. He was named to his third Pro Bowl in 2019. Haden has appeared in 68 games and started 67 of them for the Steelers over the past five years.

One of his ten interceptions has been returned for a touchdown. Haden has also blocked 54 passes in his career, forced three fumbles, recovered two fumbles, and made more than 200 tackles.

To play in the NFL in 2022, Joe Haden must either wait for the right opportunity or accept a lucrative salary. Even though he stated on social media that he was ready to move on, Steelers fans will continue to speculate about Haden’s return until he signs with another NFL team.
