The survey shows public perception of candidates on issues such as leadership, morality and social aspects.
A poll shows that Americans believe Vice President Kamala Harris (Democrat) is more honest than Donald Trump (Republican). And almost half of the interviewees said so “Commitment to Democracy” And “morally” These are the factors that best describe the Democratic front-runner for the White House.
The survey was released on Wednesday (14 Aug 2024). AP (Associated Press) conducted from August 8 to 12 with 1,164 adults. The margin of error for the results is 3.8 pp (percentage points).
Republican nominee Donald Trump held an advantage in the polls despite narrow margins on the economy and immigration. About 45% of those interviewed think Trump is handling the economy better, compared to 38% who say the same about Kamala.
The current vice president has been outspoken on issues such as race, abortion rights and inequality. Half believe Kamala will handle these issues better, while 3 in 10 respondents say the same about Trump.
4 out of 10 describe Kamal this way “Someone who cares about you”And 3 in 10 say the same about Trump.
Some topics represent a technical tie. There is a possibility that either Kamala or Trump will win the November election. When Biden was still a candidate, only 2 in 10 Americans believed the Democrats would win.
Other topics covered in the survey were who would handle a crisis better and which of the two would be the strongest leader of the country.
