The identity of the winners will be revealed only if they wish. This Thursday (19), they decided to speak publicly about the moment they knew they had won.
“I saw my email and there was a message that I had won,” Joe said, thinking it would be a small gift. “I dropped my cell phone when I saw the value. Then I took it back and saw the value and thought it would be in the thousands.
He initially thought the prize was “only” £ 184,000: “I’m so happy!”
It was the morning of May 10th. Joe doesn’t want to wake up his wife Jess Let her sleep for another 20 minutes until the alarm goes off. He was looking at homes on the real estate website at the time and didn’t care about the price limit.

Jess did not immediately believe what her husband said and thought he was without glasses, so the result was not clear. On the one hand she was right, but the only thing Joe saw wrong was the prize money.
After clarifying the correct value, Jess went to work like a normal day. On the way he decided to tell Mom. Without disclosing the amount, she called her husband, who asked if he had won.
But she could not hide: “She knows up to the penny for the gift,” Jess said, explaining that her mother had first thought she was going to tell her she was pregnant.
“This award is a huge relief to my whole family and we have been fighting for bills and all things for a long time,” Jess said.
