The Louisiana judge in the United States accepted the complaint against Sheila Fletcher and Clay Fletcher on Monday (2). Both are parents of 36-year-old Lacey Ellen Fletcher, who died in bed on Jan. 3 at her parents’ home.
The woman suffered from a condition called pseudocoma, also known as separation syndrome, which is a rare neurological disorder characterized by complete paralysis of the autonomic muscles, in addition to the muscles that control the eyes. According to officials, Lacey has been in the same bed for 12 years or more.
According to the case’s attorney, Evil David Begham, the parents should be convicted of negligent murder.
The judge accepted the complaint and ordered the two arrested. According to further inquiries, the doctor last examined Lacey in 2002. The seat on the sofa where the woman was was hollow and dirty with feces and urine. Her body was covered with insects.
Neighbors and friends say the couple did not know they had a baby girl. Police went to their home after they were told the daughter was not suffocating.
