The plane that made the inaugural DHL flight has broken down and cannot take off from Campinas

DHL, one of the global logistics giants, on Sunday (10) began flights to Brazil using its own aircraft. A Boeing 767-300F in Campinas, in the German company’s traditional yellow and red, was recorded at 11:12 p.m., as it began almost daily flights on the Miami-Campinas-Bogota-Miami triple route, as seen in the video then from the Golf Channel Oscar Romeo.

If the arrival is accurate, the same cannot be said about the departure. Oblivious to the company’s plans, the nearly 30-year-old plane ran into problems, sources at the airport told AEROIN, so it’s scheduled to take off at 4:30 a.m. last night, It hasn’t happened at the time of writing this Monday night, July 11th.

According to data from flight-tracking platform FlightRadar24, the aircraft registered as C-GAAJ (msn 25449), which belongs to Canadian Cargojet, but flies under contract to DHL, It did not take off as planned and remained on the Campinas land without expecting to leave.

It is not publicly known what the problem was that prevented the plane from taking off. But its career is known to be long, with a history of only two owners, built in 1993 for American Airlines and converted into a cargo ship in 2018, acquired by Cargojet.
