The Brazil women’s soccer team will face the USA this Saturday (10) in the final of the Paris Olympics. The teams take the field at Parque dos Principes at 12pm (Brasilia time).
This will be the third final between Brazil and USA. The teams played in the finals of the 2004 Olympics in Athens and Beijing. The US won gold in both.

Brazil
With a campaign of ups and downs, Brazil, coached by Arthur Elias, reach their third Olympic final with three wins and two losses. The Canarian team scored seven goals and conceded another six.
Despite lower-than-expected results in the group stage, Brazil beat hosts France 1-0 and defending world champions Spain 4-2.
America
Four-time Olympic champions, one of the highlights of women’s soccer, the United States reached the finals with an undefeated campaign. The Americans scored 11 goals and gave up only three. They have the best offensive and defensive skills in the competition.
In the knockout round, Team USA defeated Japan in the quarterfinals and Germany in the semifinals. Both by 1 x 0 mark

Brazil lost 114 minutes in this match. The United States, counting additions and extensions, had the equivalent of 95 minutes.
Women’s soccer matches at the Olympics had an average of 15 minutes of overtime.
