(CNN Espasol) – Colombian President Ivan Duke Sumantha was hit by a helicopter this Friday as he was on his way from the municipality of Sardinata, from the Norde de Santander port, to the town of Cactus in the same department, the president himself said.
On the plane, according to the Duke, were Defense and Interior Ministers Diego Molano and Daniel Palacios and Governor Silvano Serrano of Norde de Santander, respectively.
“Both the aerial device and the aircraft’s capability prevented anything dangerous from happening. The truth is, this is a cowardly attack where bullet wounds are found on the presidential plane,” Duke said in a video released alongside Molano and Palacios. Social networks of the presidency.
“As a government we are not going to stumble for a minute, even a day, in the fight against drug trafficking, against terrorism and against the organized crime organizations operating in the country,” he added. “Here they are not intimidating us with acts of terrorism.”
