The members of the Unimed-BH cooperative chose last Tuesday (03/08) their new board of directors. Obstetrician-gynecologist Frederico José Amede Perrett takes over as president in May and remains in office for four years. Directors Eudes Arantes Magalhães, Garibalde Mortoza Júnior, Geraldo Teixeira Botrel and Maria das Mercês Quintão Froés were also elected.
Unimed-BH operates in 34 municipalities in the state of Minas Gerais, has about 5,300 medical cooperatives, more than 5,000 employees and serves more than 1.4 million customers. Frederico will replace cardiologist Samuel Flamm, who has held the position since 2014.
Frederico graduated from the Medical School of Barbasina and holds a medical residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at IPSEMG Hospital (Instituto de Previdência dos Servidores do Estado de Minas Gerais). He holds a Master of Medicine from the Federal University of Minas Gerais (UFMG) and a Master of Health Services Administration from Fundação Getúlio Vargas, as well as training in collaborative leadership from Fundação Dom Cabral and the OCEMG system.
