Unimed Fortaleza has adopted a Backup solution – IBM Spectrum with Scala, a project of the Stefanini Group focused on the implementation of technological methods, to build a new backup policy for its information using integrated security.
The project was already in the collaborative plans and was accelerated during the pandemic, due to the importance of data and the need to protect patient information.
Our main goal was to improve the corporate governance model, ensuring more flexibility and security for our operations, especially in this challenging period of society. Since we already have successful projects with Scala, we chose the company to support us in this moment of digital transformation,” says Fabricio Diogenes, CIO of Unimed Fortaleza.
The solution was then implemented by a team of five professionals and is expected to increase the manageability of the system through the backup server and reduce infrastructure costs.
“While we need to control costs, we need to ensure excellent customer service. So, when we talk about downscaling, it’s not cutting for cut, it’s controlling in a rational way,” explains Diogenes.
Unimed Fortaleza recorded revenues of nearly R$3 billion last year and has about 340,000 customers.
On the other hand, Stefanini earned R$4 billion in 2020, a result that represents a growth of 21% over the previous year and is one of the best in recent years. The company has been in the market for 34 years and is present in 41 countries.
