B&M European Value Retail SA Flutter Entertainment PLC (LON: ) was down 2.41% or 11.70 points to 473.30 and Flutter Entertainment PLC (LON: ) was down 1.80% or 260.00 points to 14.00.
On the London Stock Exchange, gainers outnumbered decliners by 1199 to 639, while 674 ended unchanged.

Gold futures for August delivery rose 1.05%, or 24.40, to $2.00 a troy ounce. Elsewhere, crude for delivery in July rose 0.51%, or 0.40, to $78.30 a barrel, while Brent crude for August rose 0.51%, or 0.42, to settle at $82.34 a barrel.
GBP/USD was up 0.82% to 1.28 and EUR/GBP was up 0.14% to 0.84.
The dollar futures index rose 1.21% to 103.93.
