Universal Studios’ park was out of order for about two hours, according to the park’s management. 35 people needed to be taken out of the game in a risky process.
The cart that greeted visitors was at one of the highest points of the game, at a height of about 43 meters – the equivalent of a 14-storey building.
Visitors descended on foot via an emergency staircase on the side of the roller coaster trails.
The facility said there was a temporary power outage that – along with all the park rides – affected thousands of homes in Osaka.
The authorities opened an investigation to determine the supply failure. No accidents were reported due to the power outage, according to police and firefighters.
