WhatsApp has also started testing a new feature on iOS that displays profile photos in system notifications.
The WhatsApp instant messaging app is planning to revamp its chat user interface on Apple iOS devices. For this, the application will clean up your presentation by deleting certain lines.
As reported by WABetaInfo, update 22.1.72 removes the “Broadcast Lists” and “New Group” lines from the top of the chat list. WhatsApp understands that the options have been around for years, by clicking on the Start New Conversation button in the lower right corner, users can create new groups.
But now, the broadcast option will have a similar entry point that appears in the upper left corner of the popup. The feature is planned for a future update and does not have a release date at this time.
WhatsApp has also started testing a new feature on iOS that displays profile photos in system notifications. The feature will be rolling out first to those using iOS 15 and will display DP in individual and group chat notifications. The update is currently available to beta testers only.
On a related note, iOS users will soon be able to distinguish between mentions and responses in a group chat. In the trial version, if someone replies to you, you will get an instant notification saying <اسم المرسل> “You have been answered” followed by the group name. However, any group mentioned will be flagged as ‘mentioned you’ and @ <اسمك>.
