Comedian Whindersson Nunes announced today that he will bid farewell to the theater indefinitely. He stated that he needed to understand how to deal with fame, so he asked for a break.
“My next and last show will be a farewell show, not forever because it doesn’t exist, and nobody is forever, I love being on stage, but I’ve been in it for almost 10 years, toured Brazil and seen a lot of people, in many situations that I feel embarrassed when someone doesn’t have 30 reals to laugh with everyone else,” wrote Wenderson.
The comedian said that his latest show will be called “This Is Not a Cult”, because he feels that a large part of his audience is looking for a friendly word, and although he is not a “patron or psychologist”, he has already managed to help people.
Wenderson also said he needs to “go” in order to come back stronger. “So yeah, the planet is going to have to swallow me,” he wrote.
